Description
Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a mandatory requirement for paying tax and doing business in India. It is issued by the Income Tax Department of India. It is required for all persons and entities paying tax and filing Income Tax Returns. The PAN is a unique number allotted to every assessee of the Income Tax Department which is used to track all filings and compliance by the department for a particular entity.
It is a 10 Digit, alphanumeric number allotted uniquely to every person or entity and issued in a temper proof and laminated card.
